The Great Wall

At 6 pm (yes this time it was the right time) I met the rest of the travelers. We got the itinerary and had to tell more about us. After that we went back to our room. I shared my room with Karen, an Irish girl.
Next morning we went to the Great Wall. Our tour guide Jason brought us to a different place then tourist normally go, the Jinshanling. This was amazing, beside a few American tourist we were the only one at the Wall. The 'original' wall was begun more than 2000 years ago. The effort required hundreds of thousands of workers. They used smoke signals to spread the news very fast. This project took more than a century, and the cost of human effort and resources was phenomenal. The fact that the defended meaning of the Wall didn't work makes even worse for all those workers.
Some of the Wall has been restored and some of it has been left as it was over 2000 years ago.
we walked about 2 hrs and the view was breathtaking. It was a beautiful day.
