It was (again) a touristy place, but waking up because the monks are praying that was intense. We even watched the last part of it (because it already starts at 6am, too early for us!).
And the 'landlord' Patrick who toke care of us, the breakfast and washing was amazing. He already know what you wanted to ask and make sure you get what you asked for!
That day we woke up during the praying we went to anorther monastry. That monastry was high in the mountain. It called: Hongchungping Monastry. So and say that 5 times fast ;) I wish good luck!
Before we arriving the monastry, we had to pass some monkeys. Monkeys who will jump on you to find food. They become so handy that they even can open your backpack. So no banana's for me that day!
The walk up was very nicel, the higher we're getting the less tourist you saw. When we almost arrive the monastry, there was a little 'restaurant/cafe' who sold pancakes. It was a older couple who work and live there. It was so amazing to see that you can start your own cafe high up in the mountains! And the pancakes were delicious!
In the evening it was so dark, the darkest sky I've ever seen! And so peacefull, was one of the best nights of the China trip.
The next morning, we didn't woke up peacefull. No at 5.30am a lot of yelling and drumming woke us up. That was their way of praying, nut not my way of waking up.. So little tired we went down and defeated the monkeys again. Before we went to the bus to bring us back to the other monastry we've made a lovely picture in Chinese costumes.
